Stripped for repair of a cracked Cylinder Block.

Pipework that was removed prior to removing the main components.





Gears in the engine block for driving the camshafts,oil and water pumps.

The bottom end of the engine after the block was removed.The GEC 1.5MW. 11,000 Volt Alternator can be seen still attached to the crankshaft.

Crankshaft with rags fastened round the Big End bearing surfaces to prevent contamination by dust etc prior to rebuild.

The ends of the Coolant and Oil pipes which lead out to the Outdoor Radiators,ends are sealed with tape to prevent contamination.

The New Engine Block,this is delivered in a stock state and then has to be drilled and machined to take the Governor and other pieces of essential equipment as the positioning of this equipment varies depending on the installation.
